Last weekend before the rest of my life!

August 17th, 2009

OK, so I’m probably being melodramatic, but thursday is results day, and it’ll decide whether I’m at Loughborough, Sheffield, or pushing trolleys at Tesco for the rest of my life! Here’s hoping it’s the first option!

Friday night a bunch of us went to see Ice Age 3. I want a baby mammoth and/or a baby t-rex! Soooo cute! The movie was hilarious and I’d definately recommend it to everyone!

Saturday I discovered the World Athletic Championships, and it is safe to say I am hooked! While Saturday was pretty good, Sunday was epic! Jessica Ennis takes gold for Britian (YAY!!) but then Usain Bolt runs 9.58! o.0 I’m still in shock.I was at my uncles watching it with a bunch of my family and we were all stunned silent! Phenomenal!

And then today, Yelena Isinbayeva getting it completely wrong! Hahaha! :D I shouldn’t be so mean!

Renault will be racing in Valencia, thank goodness! Nice to see common sense has prevailed in F1 for once!

Tomorrow me and mum are having a Dark Angel marathon. We’re onto episode 1.09 and I reckon we can watch a whole disk tomorrow if we put our minds to it!

Of Movies and Fanlistings

August 13th, 2009

Yesterday I finished watching Lethal Weapon, and besides the very random fight on the front lawn, I thought it was a very good movie.

I immediately went to join the fanlisting, but there doesn’t appear to be one for any of the Lethal Weapon movies! So I applied!

Today I watched 17 Again starring Zac Efron. My sister is the High School Musical generation, and I took her to see the third one for Christmas (and it was scarily accurate to my life as a final year student, just without the singing, dancing, or Zac Efron-alikes). I liked Zac anyways, but he is awesome in 17 Again. The movie was hilarious, and even though it was ridiculously obvious what was going to happen, it didn’t matter, cos that just made it better. Definately recommend it! (And it has a fanlisting!)

Yesterday I uploaded the Sandi Thom fanlisting that was adopted to me, and I am currently battling with The 1969 Italian Job fanlisting.  I am very pround of the Sandi fanlisting and it’s very aesthetically pleasing centreness. Hehe.

Clare’s Leaving Night Out

August 9th, 2009

Last night was Clare’s farewell. She’s heading to New Zealand and other countries for a gap year.

I have finally discovered some drinks I like; Southern Comfort and lemonade, and Purple Rain (the one with archers in). I have also yet to be ID’d which is an achievement! And also hilariously funny!

The was also a very strange bug, that may have been drunk…

Teddy Bears Picnic

August 7th, 2009

I appear to be 18, when in actual fact, I am 8!

Though it was a pretty awesome afternoon. We all brought teddy’s (I took Baldrick, my childhood bear) and ate picnic food and discussed the good old days of Sixth Form. Closely followed by terrifying ourselves over results day! What else are friends for?

The funniest part was walking to Laura’s house, as Becca’s bear was half her size and we got a lot of strange looks!

Beach Day!!!

August 5th, 2009

Today was the beach trip to Filey with Becca and Laura. Becca drove, I did directions, and Laura made an awesome picnic!

The weather was meant to be rainy at the start and then be sunny 10 o’clock onwards. HA! What a load of rubbish! I don’t think I have ever been so wet in my entire life! It was literally pouring off my nose! We carried body boards, windbreak, everything down to the beach (where I managed to break Laura’s new windbreak) and then figured me may as well go in the sea cos we couldn’t get any wetter.

After about half an hour we gave up and went back to the car to eat the picnic and dry off. Except by this point the rain had stopped. Cos it’s stupid.

We decided we’d have a better chance in Scarborough so went there, had hot chocolates, played in the arcades and ate the most amazing ice-creams I have ever seen in my life at the Harbour Bar. If you’re in Scarborough, GO!

We were way to full to eat fish and chips there so we went home and ate some from the local chippy, where we found out they’d had nothing but sunny weather all day! Arrgh!

Attack of the Ev0l wasp

August 4th, 2009

When picking up socks, always be very careful! Why? Because there may be wasps lurking under them, waiting to sting your finger to death!

It’s the first time I’ve been stung by anything, and ye gods did it hurt! Finger is still a bit swollen, but at least it doesn’t hurt as much as it did. I didn’t get to sleep until two this morning and ended up watching the first hour of Lethal Weapon to take my mind off it! (Good film btw!)

Beach day tomorrow! Hopefully the weather will be good! :D

The start of the blogging journey!

August 2nd, 2009

I start university next month (hopefully!) and thought it would be nice to blog about what happens while I’m there. The easiest way to do that from wherever I am is through Wordpress, however I have no clue what I am doing! Therefore the next six weeks will be filled with info of me attempting to understand and customise the script to how I want it :) Here goes!
